Season two

The Men We Pretend to Be

Why so many men perform strength—and how grace begins when the real man finally allows himself to be seen.

A conversation about performance, vulnerability, and the grace of being known.

What is CREDO?

Credo means “I believe.”

Faith asks more of us than easy answers.

CREDO is a place for an ordinary Christian to ask honest questions about faith—and figure out what he believes and why. Each episode starts with a question about God, Scripture, prayer, grace, suffering, or the life we are trying to live.

There is no performance of certainty here. Just honest questions, the Christian story, and a hope that Christ is faithful in the places we have not figured out.

Meet James

An ordinary Christian
with questions of his own.

I’m a Texas writer and podcast host, not a theologian or an expert. CREDO is where I work through the questions I cannot answer with a slogan—and try to listen for the truth Christ has been patiently teaching me.

I write about faith, grief, fatherhood, memory, and grace from the places where life has left the story unfinished.
